Action Clip From - G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra (Mrs Whittaker)

this clip i think is effective because the special effects are spectacular and really create an empowering illusion of a thrilling actiony sequence. In addition, the stunts are incredible and add to the strength of the clip. the fleeing civilians helps the scene seem more realistic as they are pretty much like you and me. the sound effects are crisp and detailed so much; making us feel as if it was really happening and we were there watching what was happening. like when the glass ceiling shatters, we can hear all the fragments shattering and colliding together. This makes the special effect work effectively and makes the whol sequence run smoothly.

!! 10 Desert Island Films !!

1) Goodfellas: (Directed by Martin Scorsese and
released in 1990). I like this film because it has a really good cast and the story is well structured and unfolds smoothly throughout the film.

2) The Shining: (Directed by Stanley Kubrick; released in 1980). This film is in my top 10 because it is scary and thrilling. I also class it as a classic of the horror genre.

3) Taxi Driver: (Directed by Martin Scorsese, released in 1976). I like this particular film because it is a realistic film, there are no special effects added to it. Also it was one of De Niro's first films and in my eyes a classic.

4) Sleepers: (Directed by Barry Levinson and released in 1996). I like this film because the story is truly gripping and disturbing; which i think makes a film brilliant. Four boys go to prison for an accidental crime and are forced to perform sexual acts on the officers.

5) Pulp Fiction: (Directed by Quentin Tarantino and released in 1994). This film is superb, basically because of the "Star-studded" cast and the story is so excellent that the film had won an oscar and was nominated for 6.

6) Stand By Me: (Directed by Rob Reiner; released in 1986). Stand By Me is a really good film as basically it is a simple story; four boys go on an extreme journey - to find and go look at a dead body. the soundtrack to this film, Ben E. King - Stand By Me, is a superb song, which helps me keep this film engraved in my mind.
7)The Goonies: (Steven Spielberg; 1985). Oh boy does this film bring back memories! I simply love this film because i grew up on this film and because of the iconic phrase from Sloth, "Hey! You guys!"
8) Artificial Intelligence (A.I): ( Steven Spielberg; 2001). I like this particular film because it is a really surreal storyline, although, it involves androids and is set in the future. a little android boy develops human emotions and feelings, and pleas to his "family" and his creator that he is a "real boy".
9) Toy Story: (John Lasseter; 1996). I love this film so much. I grew up on this film aswell; i used to watch it everyday before school. i love this also because it was the first ever CGI (computer generated image) movie, and made a gazillion dollars!
10)American Pie: (Paul & Chris Weitz; 1999) i love this film because it is hilarious! But don't watch any of the sequels, they are absoloute pants! It was one of the first "teen Comedies".
